Epson Extends its Leadership in Projector Industry with Introduction of New PowerLite® Pro Series and Five New Multimedia Projectors

New Epson PowerLite® Pro Series Projectors Give Education and Corporate Integrators Superior Installation Flexibility and Control in Addition to Industry-Leading Image Quality
 
LONG BEACH, Calif. – April 21, 2008 – Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide, today announced five new powerful and bright projectors offering advanced capabilities and industry-leading 3LCD technology to meet even the most demanding presentation needs in large auditoriums, university classrooms and conference rooms.  New to Epson’s award-winning projector lineup are the Epson PowerLite® 6110i and 1825 projectors and the introduction of the PowerLite Pro series with three new models: the Epson PowerLite Pro G5150NL, G5350NL and G5200WNL.
 
The PowerLite Pro G5150NL and G5350NL offer XGA resolution, as well as 4,000 and 5,000 lumens respectively (ISO 21118 standard). The PowerLite Pro G5200WNL offers 4,200 lumens and delivers WXGA (1280 x 800) widescreen resolution.  The new PowerLite 6110i and 1825 projectors both offer XGA resolution and 3,500 lumens of brightness.  All five models feature Epson 3-chip 3LCD High Aperture panels for more intense and sharper images.

Epson’s newest high-end projectors offer installers and integrators the versatility and performance necessary to accommodate the needs of a wide range of venues and facilities. The PowerLite Pro Series XGA models and PowerLite 1825 projector are wireless capable models, enabling presenters to send content to the projector via wireless and wired LAN Networks.  The projectors enable IT managers to monitor the status of installed projectors remotely and perform key control functions. In addition, the PowerLite 1825 and PowerLite Pro G5150NL and G5350NL projectors support the Network Projector functionality found in Microsoft® Windows® Vista®  for easy presentation sharing over network environments.

About the PowerLite Pro Series

 The Epson PowerLite Pro series, available through Epson’s network of professional AV dealers, can be used with a wide selection of five lenses that cover wide angles and long throw distance needs.

The PowerLite Pro series offers a wide range of ease-of-use capabilities, allowing AV and IT managers to easily integrate any model with existing assets, including sophisticated AV equipment such as control and audio systems, as well as content devices (i.e., HD boxes, DVD players and video conferencing equipment).  Additionally the PowerLite Pro series features include:
  • Advanced Connectivity – A full complement of connectivity includes two computer RGB inputs, three component connections (5 BNC and HD15), an HDMI digital port with HDCP, two composite connections via RCA and one BNC,  S-Video, RS232, audio out and stereo mini-jack port.
  • Flexible Lens Positioning – Centered lens design, vertical and horizontal lens shift mechanism and 1.8x wider zoom standard lens allow integrators to easily position the projector and screen in any environment.
  • Optional Bayonet Lenses– Five easily exchangeable Epson lenses are available for a variety of installation requirements.
  • High Contrast Ratios – XGA models offer a 1000:1 contrast ratio; the WXGA model offers a 800:1 contrast ratio for greater shadow detail.
  • Easy Maintenance – Fast and easy filter cleaning and replacement and easy side access to the projector lamp allows for convenient maintenance, saving time even on installed units.
  • Closed Captioning – Built-in closed captioning decoder for the hearing impaired.
  • Instant On and Instant Off® – For powering an installed projector on and off with a flip of a power switch.
About the PowerLite 6110i and 1825

The Epson PowerLite 6110i ($2,899 estimated street price) projector offers closed captioning capabilities, an extended lamp life of up to 4000 hours, and dust resistance, making it the ideal XGA solution for any auditorium or boardroom. The projector also provides an efficient operation platform through its long-lasting air filter and air flow sensors.  In addition, a closed captioning decoder is built in for added convenience and cost savings.

The Epson PowerLite 1825 ($2,299 estimated street price) projector includes wireless and PC-free capabilities making it ideal for any type of presentation. With the included 802.11/a/b/g module, users can project video wirelessly via Windows Vista, or achieve even faster performance using the included EasyMP software.  Using NS Connection, users can send video and audio wirelessly in Movie Sending Mode. In addition, this flexible, lightweight projector can display most image and movie files without a computer via CompactFlash® or USB memory devices.

Availability and Support
 
The Epson PowerLite Pro G5150NL, G5350NL and G5200WNL projectors will be available in early June 2008. The PowerLite 6110i and 1825 projectors are currently available through national resellers, pro audio/visual dealers, mail order, and distribution. Epson’s PowerLite 6110i and 1825 projectors include a two-year limited warranty, while the PowerLite Pro models include a three-year limited warranty.  Both warranty programs include two elite technical support services –Epson PrivateLine phone support where projector owners can directly access an expedited support telephone line by using a phone card that is included with the product, and a Road Service projector replacement program that includes projector exchange in one business day.
