The WorkForce GT-1500 is a 8.5” x 11.7” flatbed, 48-bit color document scanner delivering high-resolution 1200 dpi scanning at impressive scan speeds with Epson’s energy-efficient ReadyScan™ LED Technology. The scanner also features an automatic document feeder (ADF) and six customizable buttons for one-touch operation, increasing productivity for high-quality document imaging.

The WorkForce GT-1500 is a 8.5” x 11.7” flatbed, 48-bit color document scanner delivering high-resolution 1200 dpi scanning at impressive scan speeds with Epson’s energy-efficient ReadyScan™ LED Technology. The scanner also features an automatic document feeder (ADF) and six customizable buttons for one-touch operation, increasing productivity for high-quality document imaging.

Epson’s environmental commitment is reinforced through its inclusion of energy-efficient ReadyScan LED Technology in the Epson WorkForce GT-1500 scanner. ReadyScan LED technology completely eliminates warm-up time when using the scanner and automatically turns off in standby mode, consuming less power while offering greater productivity. In addition, the ReadyScan LEDs are mercury-free allowing for fast scan speeds.
The 40-sheet ADF adds to the WorkForce GT-1500’s productivity by enabling users to scan up to 20 pages per minute (ppm) in monochrome and 12 ppm in color at 200 dpi. In addition, the ADF can accommodate documents from 5.9” x 5.9” up to 8.5” x 14” for a versatile document scanning solution.
The Epson WorkForce GT-1500 offers a new version of Epson Scan software with text enhancement functions designed to sharpen scanned text characters in both color and black and white documents. The new color enhancement setting allows users to select and improve any single color from the RGB color channel and the color dropout feature allows users to select and remove any single color from the RGB color channel. Epson Scan also allows users to create searchable PDFs with password protection for greater versatility and security.
Productivity Software and Connectivity
The Epson WorkForce GT-1500 features additional software applications including, ABBYY® FineReader® Sprint Plus OCR for creating editable text documents from scans, ScanSoft® PaperPort® for organizing and sharing documents and the EMC Captiva ISIS driver for interfacing with a variety of document management applications. The Epson WorkForce GT-1500 is pending certification with Kofax, an industry leader in business-critical information management. The Epson WorkForce GT-1500 features Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity for fast data transmission, and is compatible with Windows® 2000 Professional, Windows XP, Windows Vista™, and Macintosh® OS X 10.3.x to 10.5.
