LONG BEACH, Calif. – June 21, 2016 – Epson today announced it is shipping the new family of SureColor® P-Series printers – the 44-inch SureColor P10000 and 64-inch SureColor P20000.
Successors to the renowned Epson Stylus® Pro 11880, the new SureColor P-Series printers leverage an enhanced PrecisionCore® MicroTFP® print head, newly developed media feeding system, and reformulated Epson UltraChrome® PRO nine-color pigment inks to provide unmatched print quality and unparalleled production for print-on-demand providers, fine art reproduction houses and indoor display graphics printers. The SureColor P-Series printers are available now for purchase through authorized Epson Professional Imaging SureColor P-Series resellers.
Picture it on Canvas, a company turning favorite moments into handcrafted works of art, has been using the SureColor P20000 to create ready-to-hang wall-decor for their customers. “Even with the speed and large ink path, the Epson SureColor P20000 produces stunning, high quality images with amazing detail! I’m a believer,” said Monica Denosta, president.
The SC-P10000 and SC-P20000 utilize an all-new 2.64-inch, high-performance 10-channel PrecisionCore MicroTFP print head to enable true production-level printing without sacrificing print quality. Offering a maximum imaging speed of 1311 square feet per hour and high resolution 2400x1200 dpi output – up to 2.8-times faster1 than previous Epson models – the new machines are ideal solutions for fine art reproduction and the demanding upscale retail display graphics community. Combined with the new Epson UltraChrome PRO nine-color ink system, the first pigment ink set to feature four-levels of gray ink technology, including Gray, Light Gray, Dark Gray, and Black pigment inks, the SureColor P-Series printers provide outstanding color and black density, along with superior black and white output2. This latest generation color pigment technology significantly improves overall print permanence – resulting in prints with an exceptional ability to preserve the legacy of the artist.
“Leveraging superior printing technology, the new SureColor P-Series models push the boundaries of previous graphics, fine art and photographic printing capabilities,” said Larry Kaufman, product manager, Epson Professional Imaging, Epson America. “We’re excited to be shipping this new class of printers to our channel partners and customers and look forward to seeing how the print-on-demand and creative communities put these new tools to use, boosting productivity and uncovering new revenue opportunities.”
