LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Oct. 24, 2024 – Epson today introduced the SG-8200 and SG-8201 series of programmable oscillators – SG-8200CJ, SG-8200CG, SG-8201CJ, and SG-8201CG – delivering a significant improvement from predecessors, with 30 dBc/Hz lower phase noise and phase jitter reduced to 1/40th of that in the current generation, enhancing overall performance. This improvement in phase noise and phase jitter enhances signal-to-noise ratio and reduces bit error rates which are essential in high-frequency and high data rate applications.
The SG-8200 and SG-8201 series offer versatility and are designed to operate over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Available in a compact package size of 2.0 x 1.6 mm, the SG-8200CJ and SG-8201CJ are Epson’s new, smallest programmable oscillators. The SG-8201 models offer exceptional frequency stability, with a tolerance of ±15 ppm from -40°C to +105°C or ±25 ppm from -40°C to +125°C, ensuring reliable operation across a broad temperature range.
