New York, NY, January 13, 2014 – Today at the National Retail Federation’s 103rd Annual Convention and Expo (NRF), Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Sale (POS) solutions, introduced the OmniLink™ TM-H6000IV-DT, the industry’s first multifunction POS solution powerful enough to serve as an entire POS system, yet small enough to fit almost anywhere. With impressive computing power, robust peripheral connectivity and industry leading receipt printing, Epson’s OmniLink TM-H6000IV-DT supports flexible POS configurations such as thin client, web POS and legacy-system integration. It also offers fast, high-volume check processing and highly-accurate MICR reading. The latest addition to Epson’s growing family of OmniLink smart devices, the TM-H6000IV-DT is ideal for general merchandisers, supermarkets and other high-volume retail segments where check payments remain significant and speed of checkout is critical.

The OmniLink TM-H6000-IV-DT can act as a complete POS solution with built-in receipt printer – all within a compact footprint. The device includes a retail-hardened PC with a POSReady 7, Windows 7 Pro or Linux operating system powered by an Intel® Atom™1.8 GHz processor to support a variety of PC-POS applications. In traditional checkout lanes, the device allows retailers to reduce lane sizes or utilize extra space to display high-margin items at checkout. In addition, the device can easily act as a full-featured, portable POS system to accommodate pop-up displays, mall kiosks or parking lot sales at virtually any location where an AC power outlet is accessible.
